Electrode Welding

ARC welding is a process in which a metal rod in the electrode holder has the function of an electrode. The arc burns between the electrode and the weld. The difference from other processes is that in ARC welding the electrode is always shorter due to burnout.

In TIG welding (Tugsten Inert Gas), an electric arc is created between the insoluble tungsten electrode and the weldment. An inert gas that does not react with the weld is used as the shielding gas. The most commonly used shielding gas in TIG welding is argon.
